Website Support - View Support Thread

I would like to update the Zephyr Youth Football web site to the new football template.  I'd also like to add a photo scrolling feature on the home page, as referenced on other sports sites.  Please let me know what information you'll need from me to make the updates?

Thanks Nick.  Will do.  I could use a few photos from you.  I then use those action photos to pick one or two to use in the header of the new template.

As to the photo feature, it is not a scrolling feature.  Instead, there are photo panes that rotate photos within that pane.  We can integrate multiple panes in the site.  We can put them on top, on the right, and/or on the left.  For us to use one or two, we need you to log in and add at least two photos to each pane you would like to use.

Please let me know, via the support form, when the photos are added to the photo pane(s).  Once ready, we can then apply the template with the photo pane(s) integrated into the design.

Notes regarding moving ZYFA to the new football template:

1. Banner - please make the following changes:
 - Welcome to the home of Zephyr Youth Football Association
 - I'd like to make the banner it a bit narrower (top to bottom) to take up less space on the home page, if possible
 - please remove the generic word "Football" from the banner?  It's redundant with the name of our org
 - I have uploaded several photos to the photo banner section of the site.  Please add photo banners 1 and 2 on the top right in the main banner, if possible

 2. Buttons - It looks like the new template can include a horizontal row of buttons below the banner. For ZYFA I would recommend the following buttons:

Home
Registration
Web Store (external link as referenced in the Announcement section)
Sponsors
Teams
Board
Contact Us

3. Menu Cleanup - please remove the following custom pages from the main menu, they are not used any more:

Committees
Standings
Statistics

4. Photo Album - I added a few pictures to the Photo Album, does that need to be added to the main menu?

Thanks for the quick turnaround-- the site looks great!

The new banner looks cool, but it's a little annoying that the photo elements reload when navigating between pages within the site.  On a high speed connection it works OK, but yesterday I access the site from a slower wireless connection and the photos took a long time to load and reload.

Would it go faster if we used one photo control instead of two in the main banner?  I guess the other option would be to move the photo banner to the top section of the home page by the ZYFA mission statement, so that they are visible only on the Home page.

Please advise, thanks.

Please remove the photo scrollers from the banner and add one slighter larger one at the top of the right panel on the home page, where the "Edit your team page" block currently is. You may want to rearrange the text and Zephyr logo on banner so that it looks balanced.

I'd also like to reorder the items on the right panel of the Home page as follows:

1. Photo Scroller
2. Featured Sponsors
3. Featured Stories
4. Featured Links
5. Edit your team page
6. Email list
7. Website support

Loading now.  Other than the inserting the photo pane, the order of the right sidebar is fixed.

Please see previous reply.  The order of the right sidebar is fixed.  Fixed means it cannot be changed.  Everything but the photo pane is hard coded into the site and is not editable.  They are in fixed positions.
